This policy applies to all purchases of artwork through bethsgoldberg.com or directly arranged with Beth S Goldberg LLC, and should be read together with our Terms of Service. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms set forth below.
Each original painting is a unique, one-of-a-kind work. Prices for original works are available upon inquiry. To express interest in an original painting, please use the inquiry form on the Website or visit the Contact page. We typically respond to inquiries within 2–3 business days.
Confirming a sale. A sale of an original work is considered confirmed once both parties have agreed in writing (including by email) and full payment has been received. Verbal agreements or expressions of interest do not constitute a binding sale.
Buyer withdrawal before payment. If a buyer withdraws from an agreed sale before payment is received, Beth S Goldberg LLC reserves the right to re-offer the work to other buyers immediately and without obligation to the withdrawing party.
Seller withdrawal before payment. Beth S Goldberg LLC reserves the right to withdraw from an agreed sale before payment has been received. In such circumstances, we will notify the buyer promptly in writing and we will have no further obligation to either party.
All sales of original artwork are final. Once a sale is confirmed and payment received, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations under any circumstances. The sole exception is for works that arrive damaged — see Damaged Items below.
Select works are available as high-quality prints and reproductions. Pricing and available sizes are listed on the Website. All prints are produced to order and typically ship within 10–14 business days of purchase.
All sales of prints are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. The sole exception is for prints that arrive damaged or defective — see Damaged Items below.
Print purchases are completed through an embedded checkout powered by Shopify Inc. By completing a purchase through Shopify, you agree to Shopify’s Terms of Service. Payment for prints is processed securely through Shopify’s payment systems. Payment card information is handled by Shopify and is not stored by Beth S Goldberg LLC.
Original artwork purchases are handled directly via email or phone. A written invoice will be issued confirming the agreed price, work details, and payment terms. Full payment is required before the work is prepared for shipment.
Full payment is required before any order — print or original — is prepared for shipment.
Payment disputes and chargebacks. If a buyer initiates a payment dispute or chargeback through their bank or credit card company, Beth S Goldberg LLC reserves the right to suspend fulfillment, contest the dispute with supporting documentation, and pursue recovery of the full purchase amount plus any fees incurred as a result of the dispute.
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Beth S Goldberg LLC reserves the right to correct pricing errors at any time. If a price is listed incorrectly, we will contact you before processing and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel with a full refund.
Sales tax will be collected on orders as required by applicable law. Orders shipped to Connecticut addresses will be subject to Connecticut sales tax. Orders shipped to addresses in other states may be subject to that state’s sales tax where we have a legal obligation to collect it.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be quoted prior to or at the time of purchase.
We ship within the United States. For international shipping inquiries, please contact us before placing an order. International buyers are solely responsible for all applicable import duties, customs fees, taxes, and any costs associated with customs clearance. Beth S Goldberg LLC has no control over these charges and cannot predict or be held responsible for their amount or any resulting delays.
Shipping insurance for original paintings. Due to the irreplaceable nature of original works, buyers are required to obtain and maintain a shipping insurance policy covering the full purchase value of the work prior to shipment. Proof of insurance coverage must be provided to Beth S Goldberg LLC before the work will be released for shipping. Beth S Goldberg LLC will provide the dimensions, weight, and declared value of the work to assist the buyer in obtaining coverage.
If a buyer declines to obtain shipping insurance and provides written confirmation of that decision, Beth S Goldberg LLC may, at its sole discretion, proceed with shipment. In that case, Beth S Goldberg LLC’s liability for any loss or damage during transit is expressly limited to zero, and no claim may be made against Beth S Goldberg LLC for transit loss or damage.
Prints are packaged to minimize the risk of damage in transit but are not insured unless specifically requested and arranged by the buyer at their expense.
Beth S Goldberg LLC is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages after confirmed delivery, or damage arising from carrier mishandling.
If your order arrives damaged, this is the sole exception to our all-sales-final policy.

For prints: We will arrange for a replacement print where the edition is still available. If a replacement is not available, we will issue a full refund for the damaged item.
For original works: Beth S Goldberg LLC’s liability for a damaged original is expressly limited to zero. Resolution is entirely dependent on the buyer’s shipping insurance coverage. Beth S Goldberg LLC will provide reasonable documentation to support any insurance claim filed by the buyer.
Purchase of any artwork — original or print — does not transfer copyright or any reproduction rights to the buyer. All works remain the intellectual property of Beth S Goldberg LLC. Reproduction, copying, or distribution of any purchased work in any medium, including digital, without prior written permission from Beth S Goldberg LLC is strictly prohibited and may give rise to legal action.
We make every effort to represent artwork accurately through photography and descriptions. However, colors, textures, and scale may appear differently on screen than in person due to variations in monitors and devices. This variation does not constitute a basis for return or refund. We encourage prospective buyers to contact us with questions before purchasing.
Beth S Goldberg LLC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to illness or health emergency of the artist, natural disaster, fire, flood, pandemic or epidemic, acts of government, shipping carrier failures, or print supplier disruptions. In such circumstances, Beth S Goldberg LLC will make reasonable efforts to notify affected buyers promptly and, where fulfillment is not possible, to arrange an appropriate resolution including, where applicable, a full refund.
This Sales & Transaction Policy, together with the Terms of Service incorporated herein, is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Connecticut.
Beth S Goldberg LLC reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date and will not affect purchases already completed prior to the change.
